From November 29 to January 18, Christians throughout the United States are praying, acting, and fasting, and advocating for fast action on extreme poverty. Micah Challege USA is coordinating this "Act FAST." Micah Challenge is a Christian campaign to deepen engagement with impoverished and marginalized communities, and to challenge leaders to achieve the Millennium Development Goals, and thereby halve global poverty by 2015.
One can support the Act FAST by fasting from one meal and donating the cost, signing a letter to President-elect Obama to Act FAST in support of the Millennium Development Goals, and several other ways. Find out more, along with abundant resources on how to "do justice," "love mercy," and "walk humbly" with our God in the era of globalization, at www.micahchallenge.us.
