"History and Hope" takes note of books, articles, news reports and resources relevant to the history of the Christian movement. The subject, loosely construed here, is often referred to as church history or the history of Christianity. All time periods and geographical locales are included in the scope, though anyone who takes a more than cursory look at the blog will detect the weighting towards my interests and commitments.
The "Hope" part of the blog title comes from my Seventh-day Adventism, as well as the Anabaptist tradition, which has become an important influence on me, primarily through the work of John Howard Yoder.
Though some posts include substantive commentary from me, mostly I am compiling, highlighting, and linking to items of interest, so, for that reason, and with the possibility of future collaborators in mind, I decided to call myself "editor" rather than "author."
